Imaginative Gift Guide

If you are one of the many parents enthralled with the show Bluey, then I’m sure you are aware of the importance of imaginative play. But are you aware of the benefits?

The benefits of imaginative play for children include fostering their cognitive development, improving social and language skills, and boosting their creativity and problem-solving abilities. Plus, it makes them sooo happy. 🥰

Our children have an innate and natural love of learning, but it’s our job as parents to nature that. If I’m going to give the gift of toys, I want them to build developmental skills AND celebrate the joy of play. Here are some ideas that make it so easy!

  1. MELISSA + DOUG SALAD SET
Do you have a kiddo who loves to play kitchen or restaurant? Why not add some healthy choices to their menu. I’ve had my eye on this set for some time and think it is just darling.
  2. LEYA DOLL
These plush babies make the PERFECT choice for any little girl’s first doll. The attention to detail and the snuggleablility factor (made up word, so sue me!) are just top notch. This continues to be my toddler’s favorite stuffy for bedtime. Learn more about this company + see the dolls up close + personal in this vlog. Use my code “DIVA15” to receive 15% off your purchase!
  3. WOODEN MAKEUP SET
What little girl doesn’t want to copy exactly what mom does? As a former hairstylist, my kids see me whip out all kinds of hair tools and this allows them to mimic in a safe fashion.
  4. BABI BY BATTAT
If you’re looking for a more poseable doll, these are another favorite in our house! They have lots of different skin tones and even the little things like eyelashes make them so lovable! We also love all their accessories. From a pack-n-play, to stroller, to doll food…its one of our most played with toys! Check out this reel to see it in action!
  5. FLOWER GARDEN
Bring the outdoors in with this ridiculously adorable flower garden set. We were gifted this a few years ago and I kid you not, ALL my kiddos enjoy playing this. I love that this one comes in a carrying case too so you have a place to put it all away.
  6. PLUSH CAMPSET
Do you love to camp? To be honest, I don’t think my younger two have had the opportunity to experience it in real life, but they sure do like pretending! I think this set is just too cute to handle!
  7. TOOLSET
My husband loves to spend time out in his garage with his tools. (And I’m not going to lie, I love it because it usually means he’s working on my hunny do list!) And when he does, my little man likes to be right by his side. This set would compliment his plastic tool bench perfectly so they could work in harmony together.
