Phew! Do you know how hard these posts are when your visual editor is broken? Haha! Keeping it real here with technical difficulties. This post brought to you completely in HTML!!! Yep – my brain is fried.
Anywho! Today’s the BIG DAY y’all! I am so excited that it’s finally here! I’ve had SO much fun giving you sneak peeks leading up to the big event, but nothing compares to actually seeing it in person and trying it on. Those of you close enough are hopefully coming today to do just that, but if not…I hope you are at least joining us for our online Noonday Trunk Show for peeks into the fun and an opportunity to win a Noonday gift card. You don’t want to miss out on THAT, right?!? I mean how else am I going to tempt you with pictures of wine and cheese? Haha.
So if you’ve been following along, you know that my friend and Noonday Ambassador Tarah helped me style these fun Fall transitional looks for y’all. We shopped my closet for some fun looks and Tarah helped accessorize them Noonday style! If you aren’t familiar with Noonday Collection, this company is awesome and dear to my heart (as well as Tarah’s, which is why we have joined forces for this lookbook). The passion at Noonday is to advocate for the orphan and lift others out of poverty while styling you along the way!
Today’s look is a classic peplum shape in a beautiful jewel tone, making it perfect for the transition into Fall. Inspired by the color, Tarah placed this stunning collar statement piece around my neck and we went from there. I know I said yesterday’s statement necklace was my favorite, but this stunning piece is pretty much tied!!!! They are most definitely the top two on MY wish list.
As with any outfit, there is no one right way to accessorize. You want to take into account what feel you are going for, how formal you want it to look, as well as your own individual style. For some, picking out jewelry comes naturally. For others it needs to be learned. I’ve had a few friends ask for tips on how to accessorize, and while I won’t go into details right now, I thought it might be helpful to quickly show you two ways to accessorize the same outfit!
While a statement necklace and all that bling would be perfect for a night out with your man or a girl’s night, it may not be fitting for a trip to the grocery store (although admittedly, it wouldn’t stop me). Texture and sheen play a huge part in how formal or casual you want an outfit to look. So if I were to wear this same outfit while running errands with the kids, I would pair it with textures like this wool belt. Again, we’re playing up the jewel tones (the blues and purples) but with more casual textures rather than the sparkle.
Well, I hope you have had a great time with these Noonday looks! If you missed the previous ones you can check them out here: (a Preppy Look, a Classic Look, a Glam Look, an Edgy Look and a Bohemian Look). Do you have a favorite? Tell me in the comments below…I would love to hear.
