Lace: Wear It Two Ways

My goal this last week leading up to my Noonday Trunk Show was to show you a new look every day. Well. Mommyhood has kind of taken presidence, as it so often does. But even though I haven’t had the opportunity to share with you every look, I hope you are enjoying what you HAVE seen! So far I have shown you a Preppy Look, a Classic Look, a Glam Look, and most recently an Edgy Look

Noonday Ambassador and my good friend Tarah has been such a dear in helping me prepare for this show. I don’t know how many ambassadors would come do a styling shoot with you, a preview of the fall line for your closest friends, a giveaway, and the actual trunk show. How do I even begin to thank you Tarah? This has just been too fun! As part of our vision to bring you as many looks as possible, Tarah had the idea to show you two ways to wear things. So that’s what I have for you here today!

I have this lace tank. I tried it on in the store, instantly loved it, but put it back to think about it. Then I thought about it for three weeks. When I finally went back to the store I thought for sure it was gone, but instead there was ONE LEFT – and it was on clearance. It felt meant to be, and I bought it. I wear this lace tank a lot, so I wanted you to see an example of how you can get two completely different looks out of one simple piece.

For this first look, I paired it with a simple and classic black blazer. If you look closely, you might be able to see the black on black leopard print in the fabric (but maybe not, and that’s okay) which I love because it brings a little bit of edge to every outfit, even if I’m the only one who notices (I’m a rebel that way). Tarah pulled out this stunningly soft Alpaca infinity scarf, which can be worn multiple ways on its own.

For the jewelry we kept it simple with the same bone-carved earrings I shared with you on our first look, as well as the matching cuff. It keeps the attention on the scarf without keeping your ears and wrist naked. ‘Cause yep, that would bug me. Just being honest!

Now wearing this tank on its own brings you a completely different vibe. A little less classic, and little more bohemian, don’t you think? Tarah paired it with the stunning Ruth necklace in turquoise and grey. I will be honest and share with you that I think this is my favorite piece in the entire fall collection. It’s classy and yet different from a normal statement necklace and I feel like you could pair the colors with so many different outfits.

The Ethiopian upcycled artillery pieces are the perfect compliment to the Ruth without stealing the spotlight. But the real show stopper is this fabulous tassle bag. I’ll admit, when Tarah pulled it out I told her I wouldn’t normally gravitate towards that style, but in a willingness to show off as many styles as possible, I embraced it. And you know what? It completely fit this look!
